CAROLINE SHAW (formerly Caroline Reece) – Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor
Caroline began her career in the United Kingdom after graduating with honours 10 years ago. In addition to working as a Physiotherapist in a busy and proactive physiotherapy company in the UK, Caroline provided physiotherapy for a number of ‘soccer’ (football!) and rugby teams. Since moving to Australia in 2003, Caroline has worked in private practice and was also the physiotherapist to an Australian Rules football team in the WAFL. In 2005 Caroline became a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor and has been teaching Pilates for injury rehabilitation and prevention for the past 5 years.
Caroline has a special interest in neck pain, headaches, dysfunctional breathing, and posture/movement retraining. She also has expertise in acupuncture and pelvic floor rehabilitation.
DANIEL RISPOLI – Physiotherapist
After graduating from Curtin University of Technology in 2003, Daniel took a position in a private practice in the northern suburbs. He has gained significant experience in the areas of musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, exercise prescription, post operative rehabilitation and spinal injuries.
Daniel also has qualifications in acupuncture and the treatment of Benign Positional Vertigo. He has a keen interest in lower back pain and knee injuries. Dan is proactive about constantly evolving his knowledge so as to provide the best possible treatment to our valued clients.
ALICIA ARNDT – Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor
Alicia graduated from Curtin University of Technology in 2006. Since graduating, she has worked in private practice, expanding her expertise in musculoskeletal and sports injuries. Alicia completed her Clinical Pilates training and has been successfully helping clients improve their posture and movement for over 3 years.
Alicia has an interest in hand, wrist and shoulder injuries and has qualifications in acupuncture.
JASMINE XIE – Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor
Jasmine graduated from Curtin University of Technology in 2009. She has an interest in dance injuries and rehabilitation which led to her undertaking her Clinical Pilates training with Polestar Pilates. She has been successfully teaching Pilates to assist clients with injury rehabilitation and for general exercise.
She has a keen interest in posture and movement rehabilitation and has been a valuable addition to the Flinders Avenue Physiotherapy team.
DAVID CLOVER – Podiatrist
David graduated from Curtin University of Technology in 1997. He has developed a broad scope of practice in the podiatry profession after working in the public sector at the podiatry department at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for 8 years along with running his own practice for the past 11 years. He has a particular interest in diabetic related foot problems, musculoskeletal injuries and minor surgical procedures involving nail and skin conditions.
More recently, David has been exploring other treatment modalities such as acupuncture and myofascial trigger point therapy to compliment his current treatment regimes for the foot and ankle region.
JULIE SPRYN – Practice Manager
Julie oversees the running of the clinic in addition to working on reception 3 days a week. She does a great job of managing our reception team and undertakes most of the administrative work for the clinic.
Julie has also taken on the role of social coordinator for the clinic, organising regular team get-togethers such as bowling and mini-golf! In her spare time Julie enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
AMY RELO-FISHER– Physiotherapist
Amy graduated from Curtin University of Technology in 2008. Since then, she has gained experience in a wide range of musculoskeletal, spinal and sporting conditions. She has also worked in aged care where she implemented programmes to target falls prevention, mobility and specific pathologies including Parkinson’s disease and strokes.
She also has qualifications in acupuncture and realtime ultrasound imaging for pelvic floor rehabilitation. She has a special interest in neck pain, headaches, neurological conditions and women's health. She is also very active with further interest in sports-specific injuries and rehabilitation.
JOANNE BOUCKLEY – Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor
Jo graduated with 1st class honours in Physiotherapy from Curtin University of Technology in 2006. She had a previous Sports Science Degree, with experience as a gym/exercise class instructor and personal trainer. Jo has been involved with sporting clubs for the past 9 years, including soccer, WAFL and rugby.
She enjoys working with movement disorders, whether due to sporting or musculoskeletal injuries or neurological disorders. Her special interests include neurological, vestibular and balance disorders and how Pilates improves movement disorders.
