Improving wellbeing with Pilates

The Pilates method of exercise focuses on improving wellbeing by learning how to move efficiently. The emphasis of Pilates is on learning HOW to move in an efficient way, using the correct muscles to support and protect the spine and other joints.

Clinical Pilates utilises specialised equipment which can be used to resist or assist certain exercises to improve quality of movement, flexibility and strength, and to promote painfree movement. A thorough assessment is completed to identify the cause of pain, injury, and postural problems, then exercises are individually tailored to target these areas. Continual reassessment takes place and exercises are varied and progressed as improvements are made. In this way Clinical Pilates helps reduce pain, improve flexibility and strength, prevent injuries and improve overall health and wellbeing.

As a bonus, it is also a great way to get in shape!
